Tom McCormick served on the Foundation’s board from 2018 to 2021. He was the Senior Lecturer Emeritus in the Department of Bioethics & Humanities at the University of Washington and previously served as the director of counseling for the UW School of Medicine for 16 years. He was the first instructor in medical ethics for the UW School of Medicine He was also an adjunct professor of bioethics at Midwestern University in Arizona. He earned a BA from Northwest Christian University, a master of divinity from Drake University Divinity School, and a doctor of ministry, bioethics/medical ethics, from Southern Methodist University. Tom was a longtime member of University Christian Church. He passed away in February 2021.
